Utsav Educational and Cultural Society has completed 33 years of its cultural journey in preserving and promoting the classical dance and music traditions of India, particularly Odissi. Always in the forefront of the country’s cultural scenario, Utsav organizes major annual dance festivals such as Unbound Beats of India for upcoming and outstanding dancers, Su-Tarang celebrates young dancers for World Dance Day, while Saare Jahan Se Accha commemorates our nation’s Independence Day where senior and established dancers of the country pay their tribute to the martyrs and achievers of the nation. Eminent artists from different genres of Indian classical dance perform at these festivals at Delhi’s most popular cultural hubs to a discerning audience and rasikas, which is widely covered by the media.
In this 15th edition of the three-day Indian classical dance festival Saare Jahan Se Accha we will once again be celebrating the theme ‘’Guru-Shishya Parampara’’ where the Guru will lead his/her disciple to unleash the brilliance of the Guru’s training. Due to the current situation we will host the festival online via social media platforms such as Facebook, Youtube and Intsagram as well as many such platforms. This has also enabled us to feature a unique concept where each day a technical expert from the field of photography, videography and light design shall speak about their craft viz-a-viz dance. This event will be broadcasted beginning 13th August and culminating on the 15th of August, 2020, from 7 pm onward on all the days.
