G’bad: GNN claims water supply situation during closure of UGC best in last 20 yrs

Although the Ganga water supply could not be provided to Vasundhara Zone and GDA colonies in Ghaziabad the Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam (GNN) claims that water supply through tubewells in Vasundhara Zone has been more than adequate to suit everyone’s needs and it has got fewer complaints of disruption this year. Junior Engineer, Water Works, Somendra Tomar said that the GNN has supplied water as per schedule to each and every corner of Vasundhara Zone and calls of disruption (if any) have been attended to promptly. He said that newer tubewells had been dug well in advance considering the water shortage created by closure of the Upper Ganga Canal or UGC. He also said that overall the water supply situation this year has been best in the last 20 years or so.
