Absconding burglar held by Mukherjee Nagar cops; power cable stolen from Gurudwara seized


DELHI: On August 15, an incident of theft in Gurudwara Thikana Baba Banda Bahadur Shahab, Bhai Parmanand Colony, Mukherjee Nagar was reported by complainant Jai Singh vide E-FIR No. 001045/20, PS Mukherjee Nagar, Delhi in which bundles of electricity fitting wires and some cash from Gullak (money bank) were found stolen. Subsequently, a team was deputed under close supervision of SHO/ Mukharjee Nagar to nab the accused person and to recover the case property.

Team analyzed CCTV footages installed at Gurudwara in which accused persons were captured. Team gathered local intelligence and succeeded to establish the identity of the accused person as Rajesh alias Pichu and one associate Ranjeet alias Monu alias Kida both resident of Indira Vikas Colony, Mukharjee Nagar. Accused Ranjeet was arrested by team on August 21 with recovery of some bundles electricity fitting wires from his possession. During interrogation, he disclosed the involvement of his associate Rajesh. The co-accused Rajesh was absconding. Constables Hitesh and constable Sachin were deployed to arrest the remaining criminal Rajesh. The team made sincere efforts and gathered local intelligence to trace the whereabout of the absconding accused. With the concerted efforts made by the staff, co-accused Rajesh  (19 years), resident of Indra Vikas Colony, Mukherje Nagar, Delhi has been arrested on Nov. 16 in the above said offence. During sustained interrogation, he confessed to his involvement in the offence and one bundle of stolen electricity wire was recovered from his possession. Further investigation of the case is under progress.
