Several builders in Vasundhara colony, of Ghaziabad developed by Uttar Pradesh Avas Vikas Parishad are duping buyers by not paying their dues to Avas Vikasa and violating allotment conditions, thereby putting the buyer’s money at risk, revealed an RTI reply.
The RTI was filed to know about issue of completion certificates or CCs to builder projects in Vasundhara colony.
A builder in Vasundhara Sector 18, namely Gardenia has pending dues towards Avas Vikas to the tune of about Rs 99 cr (Rs 80 cr plus interest accrued) it was revealed. The builder also allotted pricey shops to several buyers in his project which were sealed by the Avas Vikas. An official said that as a result an FIR has been filed against the builder now for duping the buyers and the Avas Vikas.
Another builder JKG also has pending dues that presently might be running into Rs 4-5 crores from the earlier about Rs 1.66 cr said the official. Yet another builder in Sector 18 Apex has applied for completion certificate but has yet not obtained it, the RTI reply revealed.
An official pointed out that builder projects get their CCs from Lucknow while the role of officials in Vasundhara is to forward the application after the builder submits the file that has to be complete in various aspects, such as availability of water supply from Nigam, power supply, fire NOC among other conditions.
The official also cautioned the buyers to check the ground reality before investing their hard earned money in dubious projects that do not comply with the various terms & conditions and do not have a CC.
