G’bad: Hi-Tech City farmers meet GDA VC for settlement

The Vice Chairman of Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA), Kanchan Verma told a delegation of farmers accompanied by Mrinalini Singh, daughter of Ghaziabad MP, Gen. VK Singh (retd), that any relief that they night be wanting from the GDA could only be sought from the court as the land acquisition for Hi-Tech City at Dundaheda. As per the GDA VC after the farmers’ land was acquired in 2006-7 there were a series of litigation due to which no developmental works could be carried out on this piece of land, despite the Hi-Tech City being a state scheme. The delegation demanded that a meeting be held amongst farmers, administration and builder and they be given 6% plot allotment, compensation award and other benefits. The GDA VC requested the farmers to allow the construction of master plan road and other works.
