Noida Police have arrested a builder Rakesh Singh, of Antriskh Golf View, Sec 78, Noida for allegedly selling a flat to a number of buyers.
The complainants Shikhar Kapoor (resident of Noida) & PC Sansi (resident of Delhi) bought Flats at Antriskh Golf View, Sec 78, Noida in 2013 after paying the full amount of Rs. 1.42 cr.
According to Kapoor, “We were shocked to know that the flats we had purchased have been sold to 2 other different people. We thought our entire life saving has been has finished.”
Kapoor averred that the builder admitted the mistake and Rakesh who is the CEO and Prithvi, MD jointly handed over the possession of one flat and broke the lock while taking over illegal possession of the same flat, throwing the buyers on road. He said: “We being law abiding citizens and not capable of putting up a fight to such a big builder filed an FIR against them.”
Kapoor said that on Thursday Rakesh Singh, the CEO was arrested by IO Inspector Ajay Kumar in Sec 49 Police Station. He added that accused had been sent to jail.
The complainant Shikhar Kapoor thanked CM Yogi Adityanath for bringing in commissionerate system of policing to Noida and said that for this brave step “I would offer my sincere gratitude to the newly appointed Commissioner, Alok Singh.” He also thanked IO Ajay Kumar for his “determined & energetic efforts”.
