CEO GMCBL Sonal Goel IAS today took a first-hand experience of Gurugaman bus service during COVID-19 operations by riding on @gurugaman bus Route 134D along with passengers from Iffco Chowk up to Hero Honda. The afternoon bus ride saw a few lady passengers who were returning home from work and the CEO had a friendly chat with the passengers gently enquiring about the service and their experience of travelling on Gurugaman bus.
The CEO instructed the CSA to offer the seats reserved for ladies to the women passengers. Instructions were also given to the CSA to attentively do temperature screening of all passengers and to make them aware to sanitise their hands upon boarding the bus from the foot operated sanitiser installed near the entry gate of the bus from which passengers enter the bus. The CEO enquired about the various stops in the route and whether passengers are buying tickets using Smart Cards or not? The bus was carrying about 18 passengers including GMCBL team at the time of inspection. The PAS system was working and she read the advisory pasted for passengers behind the driver’s seat. She was also informed that at the Iffco Chowk terminal the bus was being disinfected after every round trip. The ride certainly encouraged the bus crew staff to be more meticulous and attentive to commuters.
