Delhi: Snatcher held at Karol Bagh by PCR women staff


Delhi Police apprehended one snatcher and recovered snatched mobile phone from him. The snatcher was arrested by staff of Oscar-55 All Women PCR MPV (Karol Bagh Metro Station) on July 14 at about 3.40 pm at Sadhu Vasvani Bus Stand, Karol Bagh, New Delhi.

The PCR staff who apprehended the anstcher comprised I/C W/Ct. Jyoti Malik, No. 10163/PCR and Dvr./WCt. Papuri, No. 8265/PCR.

During patrolling the staff heard a noise that “Chor Chor Pakdo Pakdo”. The staff got suspicious and followed in the direction where from the noise was coming. When they reached near Sadhu Vasvani bus stand, they found a person running very fast towards Pusa Road. The MPV staff got suspicious and they started chasing the person. After chasing some distance, MPV staff managed to apprehend the person.  Meanwhile, the complainant Arvind Kumar, 30 years, a resident of Pitampura Village, New Delhi also reached the spot and said that the person fleeing the spot has snatched his VIVO V-53 Black colour mobile phone while travelling in the bus. The mobile phone also recovered. He was identified as Kayamuddin Sameer, 35, a resident of Sadar Bazaar, Eidgah, Delhi. Therefore, a self PCR call was made by MPV staff in this regard. reporter
