Delhi: Cheater who duped woman of gold jewellery held by Mohan Garden cops


Cops of Mohan Garden Police Station have arrested an accused who used to hypnotize the commuters and parted with their belongings which generally contains jewelry and cash. In the past, several incidents occurred in which innocent old ladies have been cheated  by the fraudsters on  the pretext of wrapping their valuables, that is gold, cash or their gold wearings in a piece of paper disguising themselves as well wishers and parted away with their belongings. The beat staff was sensitized about the issue and to take note of such people roaming in the area. The residents were alerted to be conscious of such events.

On June 28, the cops of Mohan Garden Police Station on identification and association of a victim lady was successful in arresting the accused Vishnu, son of Nathu Lal, resident of Kailash Nagar Colony, Near Railway Fatak, Palwal, Haryana, age 22 yrs. The complainant informed that on May 27, she came across 2 boys, near Gagan Bharti School, Mohan Garden, Delhi. She said that the approached youths told her that one of them is also going to Gujarat and will help her to board the bus. She agreed to their proposal and when the boys insisted to keep all her valuables in a piece of paper wrapped properly, she could not resist and after handing over her belongings, she felt uneasiness and become unconscious. It is claimed by her that when she regained consciousness, her gold chain and earrings worn by her were found missing.  On June 28 she was successful in identifying and apprehending one of the youths found roaming in the area, with the help of police. reporter
