Gurugram: Residents claim builder high-handedness and govt. inaction

Several beleaguered owners of Emaar Gurgaon Greens Sector 102 are asking the government to solve their long standing demand of harassment and illogical demands of the builder, according to them. Their grievances have been addressed to the media thorugh a letter issued by Emaar Gurgaon Greens Owners Welfare Association, Sector 102.

Today, hundreds of owners of the Gurgaon Greens society sent a signed memorandum via Gurgaon Police to the Chief Minister of Haryana demanding to take strict action against builder Emaar MGF India Ltd for their long-standing demands. Hundreds of owners earlier sent their complaints many times via memorandums & emails to CM Window, HRERA Gurugram, DG TCP Haryana, DTP Gurugram, District Registrar Firms & Societies Gurugram, DC Gurugram and CP Gurugram regarding their problems.

However, these residents point out that not a single government official till date took any concrete action. Two days earlier the owners (residents) were called by PS Dhankot and asked to submit their signed complaint. Owners signed the complaint and today submitted to PS Dhankot.  The residents now say that they are approaching the media outlets to highlight their grievances.

The residents have also pinpointed several glarig deficiencies they have been facing in construction of the flats whch they said are of very poor quality. There are other issues also being faced by them such as builder not paying delayed possession compensation, not passing the full benefit of input tax credit to eligible owners. They also say that the maintenance rate being charged by builder is very high besides several other issues. reporter
