Gurugram: CEO GMCBL & Nodal Officer monitors progress of health facilities for Covid patients

Acting in the capacity as Nodal Officer for Health Facilities in Gurugram District, Sonal Goel IAS, CEO GMCBL & Addl. CEO GMDA carried out supervision drives in two hospitals  on June 11, 2020 with the aim to make the health facilities structure more robust and up to date. Goel visited Artemis Hospital & Poly Clinic at Sector 31 along with HCS Kulbir Dhaka. During her visit, she gave valuable suggestions for the name and contact of Nodal Officer to be displayed in the hospital and on its website. She enquired about the number of Covid patients and the treatment provided. She advised that proper counselling should be given to Covid patients.

At the hospital, Goel found out that out of total 304 beds, only 31 beds were reserved for Covid patients. She suggested that there should be an increase of 25% of beds for Covid patients. At Poly Clinic hospital, she inspected the Govt hospital and entry, exit points for cleanliness. She found out that there were 12 beds for Covid patients and at the moment 7 Covid patients were being treated in the hospital. She met the Nodal Officer, Dr. Nina Gathwal and exchanged valuable inputs for improvisation.

Meanwhile, the data collection drive is on with several volunteers of district administration out on fields again today visiting hospitals for data collection. The volunteers got data according to the proforma prepared from a number of hospitals including Chirag, Medanta, Max, Metro Hospital & Heart Institute, Park, SGT Hospital, Mayom, and Bhanot, among others.
