Delhi: New Delhi dist. cops turn to Yoga to stay fit while fighting Covid-19


As it is, Delhi Police personnel, being the frontline warriors, in the fight against COVID-19 are more prone to pandemic. In order to make the Police personnel mentally and physically fit to fight against the pandemic and boost their immunity, New Delhi District Police organised a Yoga Training Session on May 21 from 8 am to 9 am in the premises of Police Station Parliament Street, New Delhi. Three Yoga instructors from Infinite Group, IHS conducted the training programme. At least 102 cops of different ranks from New Delhi District benefitted from the programme. Additional DCP-II/NDD Shri Ajay Pal Singh Tomar motivated the Policemen by sharing benefits of Yoga.

During the training session, the Yoga instructors gave useful tips to the police personnel for daily health management through yoga and breathing exercises. They also explained about the importance of healthy lifestyle habits to keep their morale high and be physically fit for duty in hard times of COVID-19 pandemic. reporter
