On Mother’s Day, May 10, 2020, Gurugram Metropolitan City Bus Limited (GMCBL) carried a special campaign on their social media platform on twitter to honour mothers around the world and encourage a loving bond between mothers and children. GMCBL threw open a competition to everyone on social media to post their picture with their mother along with a caption, with the hashtag #MomHaiToHumHainWithGMCBL.

On May 11th, the next day, around 25 entries were received on @gurugaman Twitter handle. All the entries were evaluated and the CEO GMCBL Sonal Goel IAS, individually thanked everyone for participating in #MomHaiToHumHainWithGMCBL campaign to celebrate Mother’s Day. GMCBL decided to give an official online Certificate of Appreciation to all the enthusiastic participants as a token of gratitude. The Certificate of Appreciation was presented to each participant individually in a separate tweet along with the picture they had posted of their mother. This campaign drew a lot of interest amongst all age groups as people demanded for these Certificates on Twitter even after the competition. Even young children posted pictures of their mothers with the help of their father and some keenly requested if their picture alongside their mother could come on the Certificate for memory’s sake.

After the distribution of Certificates, GMCBL presented a collage on Twitter on May 12, capturing the Mother’s Day special moments. The intent of the campaign was to foster a strong, loving bond between mothers and children.
