As liquor shops opened in Delhi-NCR after a prolonged lockdown, there was chaos all around with police stepping in to close a number of liquor shops in & around South Delhi for want of social distancing. Long queues of bacchus lovers had started to form outside liquor vends in the capital from early morning onwards much before the opening time of 10 am. In some places there were 1-1.5 km-long queues. The situation in NCR cities of Noida, Gr Noida, Ghaziabad was no different either.
Commenting on situation, Union Health Minister, Harsh Vardhan said that Delhi needs to have more stringent rules considering the current situation of the pandemic in Delhi.
