A sanitation team of Vasundhara Zone of Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam (GNN) was today dispatched to Konark Enclave in Sector 17, Vasundhara for sanitization of the premises, after the residents pointed out that a few society residents had come from overseas visit recently. However only a portion could be sanitised as the Nigam vehicle could not get past through the haphazardly parked vehicles and so the sanitisation work had to be abandoned mid-way.
Earlier, Zonal Sanitary Officer, Trans-Hindon DK Agrawal responded quickly to the call and a 9,000 litre capacity sprinkling vehicle was sent to sanitise the society. Several residents said that the RWA had not made any effort to sanitise the society premises so far.
Sanitation Supervisor Raju informed that the roads and the periphery of the society had been sanitized from all sides. The vehicle that arrived in the society premises sanitised a few blocks of the society but could not go through the maze of parked vehicles and hence it was decided that later on a smaller vehicle would be sent to sanitise the area further, if the situation so demands.
