G’bad Nagar Nigam begins mammoth sanitation drive; 535 vehicles to sanitise city; launches helpline no.

Municipal Commissioner, Dinesh Chandra Singh spearheads the GNN’s comprehensive drive in the fight against corona in Ghaziabad city


While the people stay indoors to implement ‘Janta Curfew’ Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam (GNN) led by Municipal Commissioner, Dinesh Chandra Singh is working relentlessly to sanitise the city from the threat of corona virus.

Today Dinesh Chandra Singh and his several teams conducted a special drive wherein firstly a Control Room was set up at the GNN head office and eight-eight hours shift of officials and junior staff were assigned for sanitation work. The work is being monitored by Municipal Commissioner Dinesh Chandra Singh. In this regard the Municipal Commissioner reached his office at 7 am in the morning and saw off water sprinkler vehicles that would sanitise the city’s all major intersections, roads, public spaces etc with a solution of water and sodium hypochlorite. These vehicles will sprinkle the sanitary liquid across all wards of Ghaziabad.

Several teams have been formed in all zones that will look after the proper sanitization effort, manned by Sanitation Inspectors.  

The GNN has pressed into service at least 535 vehicles for its sanitization efforts.

A toll free number of the GNN has been issued which can be contacted by the public for COVID-19. The helpline will take care of sanitation, water supply issues and will be manned by senior officials starting from 7 am till 10 pm. The helpline no is 18001803012. The Municipal Commissioner is himself monitoring the situation on an hourly basis.
