Delhi: Notorious criminal held by Dwarka Dist. cops


Crack Team of BHD Nagar Police Station has done an excellent job with the arrest of an inter-state criminal Arun Kumar alias Dillu, resident of Bajghera, Gurugram (HR), aged 28 yrs, previously involved in 8 criminal cases. He has been arrested with one loaded country made pistol with two live cartridges recovered from his possession.

To curb the criminal activities and to discourage the criminals active in Baba Hari Das Nagar Police Station area, being a border Police Station sharing boundaries with Haryana, a crack team comprising SI Sunder Singh, ASI Sitaram, HC Jitender and HC Sunil has been constituted, under the supervision of Inspector Jagtar Singh, SHO/BHD Nagar and over all guidance of  Vijay Singh, ACP/Najafgarh, which strives hard to nab the criminals and have deployed their resources to get any clue about the criminals movement in the area.

These efforts bore fruits when on March 12, at about 2:30 pm, Crack Team received information through secret informer that one person wearing red T-Shirt, active member of Raju Basodiya group also wanted in a firing case would come on Dichaon Village, Ganda Nala. He would be carrying firearm. The Crack Team immediately brought this into the knowledge of the Senior Officer and accordingly, a trap was laid near Dichaon Village, Ganda Nala Road. Due to the team’s sincere and motivated efforts, they succeeded in apprehending and overpowering the accused after a brief chase of 150-200 meters distance. During his cursory search, one loaded country made Katta with 2 live cartridges have been recovered from his possession. 

The accused was identified as Arun Kumar. During interrogation, he disclosed that he was planning to take revenge from his real uncle, who had misappropriated the share of his father in an ancestral land. He was in search of some accomplice who could assist him in his target. 

As he was apprehended with firearm, accordingly a case under Arms Act was registered in PS BHD Nagar. reporter
