After the Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam removed encroachments in Kaushambi, in wake of a National Green Tribunal (NGT) order for compliance in a petition by SA Zaidi the matter came up for hearing on March 4 wherein the applicant submitted that still visitor  cars of Radisson Blu Hotel (respondent No 5) were being parked on the green belt of Kaushambi. The Tribunal was also apprised by the applicant that the green belt area across the road was being used by the hotel for marriage purposes still.

However, Municipal Commissioner Dinesh Chandra Singh submitted to the NGT that he had visited the site and would ensure that no such violation or unauthorised activity takes place in green belt for which he informed the court that the GNN has started raising RCC pillars and thereafter the whole green belt area would be fenced in 15 days. The NGT disposed of the case believing in the Municipal Commissioner’s submission that the compliance would be done.
