Gurugram: Ecogreen to reduce garbage mounds with hi-tech machines

As per a media communication received, Ecogreen Energy Pvt Ltd has started a very stringent plan to reduce garbage mountains at Bandhwari landfill site. According to an Ecogreen official, two machines of the highest grades are installed and are operational for deep segregation and usable compost making. As discussed with the concessionaire, each machine has the capacity of 300 MT per day, in the second machine to be started, which will convert 550 MT garbage into compost, RDF and inert.

Together these machines can process around 800 MT of legacy waste, and Ecogreen has plan to install more machines as and when space is made available. It was informed that few high-tech machines are also being installed which can convert leachate into water suitable for irrigation purposes. However trommel machines are extremely successfully in  segregating plastics, construction & demolition waste, soil, wet waste and other recyclable. As the recycle goes for reuse, C&D for construction and wet waste is treated with help of VC culture, to decompose and convert into compost. This processed composed is suitable for horticulture purpose, after sample test conducted by lab. In one of the recent activities, IEC staff members distributed this compost in various schools, RWAs, etc. as token of good faith.
