Delhi: Three notorious highway robbers held by Crime Branch


The STARS-II team of Crime Branch has been successful in locating and effecting arrest of 3 desperate highway robbers, namely Md. Dulare alias Dilawar (Gang Leader) (Age 35 yrs) R/o J.J. Colony, Bawana, Delhi; Amir Paswan ( 27 yrs) r/o Shiv Mandirwali Gali, Shalimar Village, Delhi is permanent resident of Muzaffarpur, Bihar; and, Sunil Paswan (27 yrs) r/o Shiv Mandirwali Gali, Shalimar Village, Delhi is a permanent resident of Muzaffarpur, Bihar.
On Feb 10, at about 5 am, one constable namely Ravinder Singh of Railway Police Force, presently posted at Mumbai, was on his way to his native place Meerut after deboarding the train at Hazarat Nizamuddin Station, Delhi. He came to ISBT, Anand Vihar, to pursue further journey to Meerut. At ISBT, he was accosted by two unknown persons who posed as passengers looking for a public transport to Meerut. Other members of the gang posing as driver of SANTRO car and passengers came there and they all lured the victim Ravinder to share the car for Meerut. In the car, the gang members beaten up and robbed the victim his belongings. The gang roamed around in Delhi with the victim by confining him in the car and withdraw money from different ATMs in Delhi. They also purchased jewellery from a shop in Rohini area using victim’s debit card. In the night, at about 9 PM, the victim managed to escape in Bawana Industrial Area. The victim then approached the police and on his statement, a case vide FIR No. 36/20, on Feb 10 u/s 392/34 IPC, PS Patparganj Industrial Area, East Delhi was registered and investigation taken up by the local police. reporter
