Municipal Commissioner Dinesh Chandra Singh today visited Kavi Nagar Zone colonies where he took stock of sanitation work at RDC and community toilets being run by Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation (GMC).
The Pink Toilet for women was found to be clean as per the standard for which the area SFI was praised by the Municipal Commissioner.
At RDC a street vendor was found using earthen utensils for selling his eatables and was also taking digital payments. The Municipal Commissioner felicitated the vendor for his efforts and handed him steel utensils for cooperating in Swachhata mission and digital payments that are being encouraged by the Govt.
Dinesh Chandra Singh also visited Sahibabad Mandi under Vasundhara Zone with officials of Vasundhara Zone. He was apprised that 90% of sellers had abandoned using plastic upon which he felicitated several such traders.
However some traders were found using plastic and they were warned that strict action would be taken against them if they do not fall in line in future.
A street vendor near the same venue was handed out steel utensils for forsaking plastic wares for his eatery.
