Residents of several villages of Greater Noida organized a comprehensive plantation drive nicknamed Mission 2020 at the 700-yr-old Udyan Taposthali of Sage Kanad at Tilpata village. At this sacred place several native species of trees such as Peepal etc.
A march was also carried out from Tilpata Chowk to the ancient site. Several youths of nearby villages enthusiastically took part in the plantation drive, said Pradeep Dahaliya, delhincrnews.in reporter & tree activist.
The programme concluded at Jhidi Temple. The priest of the temple welcomed the youth while volunteers of Adarsh Samaj Gram Vikas Samiti were also present.
A discussion on “Environment and Sanatan Vedic Culture” was also held on the occasion. The plated trees were dedicated to the ancient Rishis of India. Five tree guards were also donated on the occasion. The owner of Paramount Coaching group & maths expert Ramdev Bhati also donated 10 tree guards.
Arya Sagar Khari from Adarsh Samiti threw light on abbcient heritage of India specially related to sage Kanad and his knowledge. Social worker of Dadri Abhihek Maitraiya also spoke on the occasion.
The next session of the plantation drive will be conducted on Jan 26 at village Kailashpur.
Pradeep Dahaliya said that several persons including Man Mandir BDC Dr Ajay Bhati, Ravji Vir Bhati, Kapil Adhana, Satish Kaushik, Sanjay Khari, Parvunder Khari, Harendra Khari, Surendra Khari, Anuj Kumar, Pintu Nagar, Ashwani Nagar, Sunny Dhayal, Katyayni Mishra, Gopal, Roshan Choubey, Pandumal Sharma, Randhir Gopi, Sunil Hindustani, Manish, Amit Hun, Rajat Bhati, Arun Tongad, Sukhbir Tongad, Mahaveer Tongad, Ishwar Tongad, Teenu Nagar, Haroon Saifi, Pankaj Nagar Acheja and several others were present.
