One held with 96.5 kgs of Ganja at New Delhi Railway Station


On Jan 10 a 24-year-old man was held at New Delhi Railway Station by RPF staff, while he was carrying 96.5kg Ganja packed in six cylinders on hand pulled Rehri. The cylinders were packed in separate jute bags that arrived at NDRS through parcel service of Railways from West Bengal.

At around 11 pm head constable Sandeep Kumar  of RPF while on patrolling duty at Platform NO 16 of NDRS  noticed a man caring  6  iron cylinders on hand pulled Rehri and one of the cylinder fell on the ground and a suspicious looking material came out from the fallen cylinder. On checking the material was found to be Ganja. The man was apprehended and rest of the five cylinders were also checked and same were also found containing Ganja. The cops were intimated and they reached at the spot and apprehended the person whose identity was disclosed as Usman R/O Jhuggi, Bhagwanpura, Samaipur Badli, Delhi.  On enquiry the builty was found issued in his name for taking possession of the parceled cylinders and he also got gate pass issued to him for transporting the cylinders from the Railway station. Thereafter a case vide FIR No. 03/2020  under section 20 of NDPS Act has been registered at New Delhi Railway Station PS. reporter
