As part of the 31st National Road Safety Week 2020, Delhi Traffic Police organised a two-wheeler rally at Baba Kharak Singh Marg today (Jan. 12, 2020.
Around 130 women two wheeler riders and pillion riders from Delhi Police and civilians participated in the event. Taj Hassan, Spl. CP/Traffic graced the occasion as Chief Guest and flagged off the two-wheeler rally. Speaking on the occasion, Taj Hassan called upon the participants to spread the message of safety on roads among their near and dear ones and asked them to obey traffic rules. He stressed upon the need for ensuring the safety of two-wheeler riders emphasising on the necessity of wearing helmets while driving two wheelers by the rider as well as the pillion rider.
The two wheeler rally was flagged off from Baba Kharak Singh Marg opposite Traffic Training Park, BKS and took a round of inner circle Connaught Place returning back to Traffic Training Park, BKS. The objective of the two wheeler rally was to promote two-wheeler rider safety. The pillion riders were carrying placards with road safety messages for the safety of two-wheeler riders.
