G’bad: Free respiratory check-up camp held at Yashoda Hospital, Kaushambi


Despite severe cold wave Yashoda Super Specialty, Kaushambi, Ghaziabad organized a free mega respiratory disease check-up camp. The camp was inaugurated by hospital MD Dr PN Arora. More than 150 persons got checked up for various respiratory ailments such as allergy, asthma due to rising pollution levels.

Lung Specialists, namely Dr KK Pandey, Dr Arjun Khanna and Dr Ankit Sinha gave free consultation to the patients. The participants were also examined for pulmonary infection that was also free-of-cost.

People were apprised about the bad effects that can be caused by taking over-the-counter medicines and syrups for throat and respiratory troubles.

Many participants were advised to get done a complete blood count test, chest X-ray etc. Dr Pandey said that in winters all people should get themselves covered properly to escape the ill-effects of cold such as contraction of respiratory channels and to avoid exposure.

Dr Pandey also said that chronic cough could be signs of serious ailments and should be checked immediately by a god doctor.

During the check-up it was found that many persons had serious respiratory ailments and one person also had cancer while one person’s ling was function to 40% of its capacity.

Dr Arjun Khanna advised the participants to keep drinking hot beverages, water and soup. CEO, Dr Sunil Dagar said that many participants had snoring problems and were advised to get done their sleep study.  He also said that many advanced techniques for treating respiratory diseases were available at Yashoda Hospital.

Gaurav Pandey, Prateem Gun, Sanjeev, Himanshu and Preeti conducted the camp.
