IIT Roorkee is organizing the TechMeet 8.0 from 20th December to 22nd December 2019 in IIT Roorkee campus. The TechMeet is an annual technological competition open to all IITs across India. IIT Roorkee is hosting the 8th edition of the Tech Meet with a vision of Empathy, Innovation, and Impact, they hope to solve problems of societal relevance and industrial importance through this PAN IIT Meet.
“IIT Roorkee is happy to take this tech meet into its 8th year. The intent is to come up with solutions to some current problems relevant to our country,” said Prof. A.K Chaturvedi, Director IIT Roorkee.
The TechMeet has collaborative events targeting networking and knowledge sharing through competitive events in all kinds of domains like technology, population, geographic expanse, climate, infrastructure, etc. which results in fuelling innovative work with given constraints to meet the mission and vision of the TechMeet 8.0.
This year they have competitive events in all domains like Robotics, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Entrepreneurship, Sustainability, Consulting, etc. which are offered by bigwigs such as DRDO SASE, BITGRIT Japan, The Ashoka Foundation, DIC IIT-Roorkee, BOSCH, and Payatu’s Infosec.
IIT Roorkee is proud to host Naresh Kumar, the director of Snow and Avalanche Study (SASE) from DRDO as our chief guest. “It is an honour to be here at the 8th Tech Meet being hosted by IIT Roorkee. This is the ideal platform for people from all domains such as technology, climate, infrastructure, etc to come under one roof and share knowledge of importance in these fields. I laud the institute for taking such an initiative forward and hope to be associated with this Tech Meet in the future as well,” said Chief Guest Naresh Kumar the director of Snow and Avalanche Study (SASE) from DRDO.
