Ghaziabad: Municipal Commissioner asks staff to be prepared for Swachh Survekshan inspection

Dinesh Chandra Singh today took stock of various tasks and functionalities, especially with regard to garbage collection and gave appropriate directions

On a visit to Vasundhara Zone and Kavi Nagar zones today morning Municipal Commissioner, Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation (GMC) Dinesh Chandra Singh found irregularities that needed immediate attention.

Firstly, it was found that a public toilet at Kaushambi was working fine however it needed a facelift upon which the Chief Engineer Moinuddin was asked to get the repair and paint work done.

Another toilet at Brij Vihar was found to be in a shambles with no water, sewer and even the pots were broken upon which the officials were directed to upgrade the toilet and also to ensure that the sanitation workers are present there everyday.

The road outside a marriage home at Brij Vihar was found littered with garbage upon which the SFI Yogendra Kumar was asked to issue a notice to the owner and to recover a fine for violation of environmental laws.

At Prahladgarhi in Vasundhara area cattle were found to be roaming around upon which the GMC vet Dr Anuj Kumar Singh was asked to pick them up and send them to shelter at Nand Gram. Along Saur Urja Marg garbage was found strewn across the collection points upon which Dinesh Chandra Singh directed the City Health Officer, Mithilesh Kumar to instruct all SFIs across all zones to collect such garbage regularly.

At Kavi Nagar Zone, Singh praised the efforts of the staff for giving a facelift to walls of Sector 3 park at Raj Nagar. He directed all officials to be prepared for Swachh Survekshan 2020 team that may land up in the city anytime by getting tasks under their supervision done on time. reporter
