Delhi: Two thieves arrested for house break by SE District


With arrest of two person namely Ranvir alias Toru alias Ravi, a resident of Hanuman Garhi, East of Kailash, Delhi, 20 and Mithun alias Kalua, resident of Garhi East of Kailash, Delhi, a team of Amar Colony Police Station of South-East District solved a case of house theft and recovered stolen jewellery, mobile phones and laptop.

On Nov 22,  a lady complainant who is running a jewellery shop at Lajpat Nagar had filed a complaint regarding theft of jewellery, mobile phones, one laptop and keys of her shop from her house at Kailash Hills, Amar Colony during the intervening night of Nov 21/22. A case of house theft was registered in this regard at this police station. 

During investigation complainant told the police that she had kept a person namely Ranvir as a worker at her shop one and half year ago. She had removed him for his misconduct and unsatisfactory services. Local intelligence was developed in this regard.

On Nov 29, acting on a tip, police team laid a trap and apprehended Ranvir from Astha Kunj park while he was going to sell the stolen laptop in Nehru Place market. The stolen laptop along with charger was recovered from his possession and he was arrested. On his instance the remaining stolen articles including jewellery and 2 apple I-phones were recovered from his home in Garhi village, Delhi. Three other mobile phones were recovered from the possession of his brother Mithun which were given by him to sell in the market. All stolen articles in this case has been recovered

During interrogation accused Ranvir disclosed that one and half year back he worked as “helper” at the complainant’s shop situated in Central Market Lajpat Nagar. He would steal petty amount, that is,  Rs.20/ 50/ 100 from the complainant’s shop. Once he was caught and complainant removed him from job. Since then he is unemployed.
