Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation (GMC) today yet again conducted a drove against illegal dairies within city limits which were polluting the drains and public places. The drive was conducted by a team of newly appointed City Health Officer, Dr Mithilesh Kumar Singh, SFI, Ashok Kumar and other health staff at Nandgram’s Uttaranchal Nagar. Four dairy owners were fined a sum of Rs 10,000 each. They were found guilty of disposing of cow dung and other waste into drains thereby choking them.
The illegal dairy owners were warmed not to repeat this action again. Municipal Commissioner, Dinesh Chandra Singh appealed to all dairy owners running their dairies from residential areas to move them elsewhere, failing which they would face prosecution and fine.
