Delhi: PCR staff catches bootlegger with illicit liquor

On the intervening night of Nov 09/10 at about 9:33 pm, the PCR Mobile Patrolling Staff comprising of head constable Praveen, constable Praveen, and constable (Dvr) Manoj were heading towards SRHC Hospital with an injured person. Meanwhile, at GT road they noticed one Honda Car driven in a suspicious manner. The Mobile Patrolling Van staff immediately followed the said car and also flashed a message to the nearby MPVs for taking the injured person to hospital safely. The MPV staff professionally chased and intercepted the car. On checking the car 19 boxes containing 912 quarters of country madeĀ  illicit liquor was found.

The accused driver was identified as Vikas, age 20 years and resident of Dilshad Garden, Delhi. Local police from Alipur Police Station also arrived at the spot. The Honda City car bearing No.DL-4C-AB-5763 was seized and accused alongwith recovered illicit liquor was handed over to local police. In this regard a case under Delhi Exicse Act 2009 has been registered.
