G’bad: Malnourished kids get proper aid at Yashoda Hospital, Kaushambi


More than 50 undernourished children from villages of Prahladgarhi and Bhovapur were today given nutrition in the form of apple, banana, juice & biscuits as well as treatment at Yashoda Hospital, Kaushambi in presence of DM Ghaziabad, Ajay Shankar Pandey. The managing director of Yashoda Dr PN Arora had taken responsibility of looking after the nutrition needs of 500 such children in Ghaziabad.

Officials of the hospital including Dr Sunil Dagar, GM, medical director, Dr Rahul Shukla, ACMO, Dr Vishram Singh and other officials of the district administration.

The DM asked about the welfare of the other children being treated and was told that deficiencies related to skin, mal-nutrition were lesser as compared to earlier and the respiratory tract infections had also been treated in these children according to their age.

Pediatrician Dr Vidya Ghish said that 80-90% children were found to be having anemia. Dr Sunil Dagar said that the hospital was administering multi-vitamin, anti-biotic, iron, zinc as well as vitamin A, vitamin D3, paracetamol and medicines for killing worms. All these were being given free of cost.

Pandey praised the efforts of the doctors and the hospital.
