G’bad: GNN recovers Rs 2 cr from defaulting firms in a week- 1st time in its history

After it was found that several advertisement firms were violating the contract agreement inked with Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam (GNN), recently Municipal Commissioner Dinesh Chandra Singh had issued a notice asking Getmore company to pay up Rs 2.84 crores as advertisement charges out of which the company had already paid Rs 48 lakhs on September 4 and Rs 11.80 lakhs on September 7. The remaining Rs 59 lakhs were also paid today in the GNN’s account.

In addition, firms engaged in FOB work were also asked to pay up penalty in lieu of defaulting on the contract agreement. AMC RN Pandey was asked to take action against such firms.

A penalty of Rs 40 lakhs was recovered from Saffron Communication while from Orbit Adwork an amount of Rs 23.79 was recovered. AMC Pandey was also directed to coordinated with ADM Finance for issuing RC against the defaulting firms.
