Religious terms which instigate violence should be redefined or removed- FRHUP

While inaugurating the World Parliament of Religion (WPR), Minister of Agriculture of GOI, Purushotam Rupala said that religious harmony is a crying necessity for development and mutual faith

Foundation for Religious Harmony & Universal Peace (FRHUP) organized a historic “World Parliament of Religion” in the national capital on Sept 9. FRHUP was constituted by the former Chief Justice of India Justice MN Venkatchallaiha. Dharm Gurus and representatives from different Embassies of India and Abroad participated in it besides distinguished people from all walks of life.

While inaugurating the World Parliament of Religion (WPR), Minister of Agriculture of GOI, Purushotam Rupala said that religious harmony is a crying necessity for development and mutual faith. He expressed hope that a useful resolution will be passed in the interest of the mankind. He said that DHARM alone has the power to purify politics.

The Founder President of Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti Acharya (Dr) Lokesh Muni said that diversity in Unity is the fundamental principle of Indian Culture. Religious Harmony is the basis of it. He said that thought pollution is more dangerous than environmental pollution. There should be no room for hatred and Violence in any Religion.

The Gen Secy of FRHUP and symbol of “National Religion” Veer Chakra Col Tejandra Pal Tyagi (retd) said that In September 1893, Swami Vivekananda while addressing the people in Chicago as Brothers and Sisters of America, advocated ,indirectly the need of Universal Religion. He said that a seed develops in to a plant in association with water and air; it does not mean that seed becomes air or seed becomes water. Similarly by respecting and associating with the spirit of other religion, a Hindu does not become Christian and vice versa. Vivekananda said that triumph of one religion over another is unimaginable. Therefore, Col Tyagi, proposed that violent controversial terms like “KAAFIR” should be redefined or removed.

International President of International Budhist Confederation Lama Lobzang, Chairman of Garib Nawaj Foundation Mohd Ansar Raja, Shia Dharam Guru Maulana Syed Kalbe Rushai Rizvi, National Trustee of the Bahai Community of India Dr AK Merchant, Sr Vice President of FRHUP Rev ZS Peters , President of Gurugranth Sahib World Welfare Mission Sardar Satnam Singh Uppal, Representative of UNESCO, Pranav Amin,  K Walia from California, Munish Pal Singh from Mauritius, National Convener of Akhil Bhartiya Sant Parishad Yati Narsinghan and Secy of  Judah Hyam Synagogue, Ezekiel Isaac Maleka , National Gen Secy of International Human Right Organisation, Chandra Hans Maurya, Senior Vice President of FRHUP Rev, ZS Peters and more than 200  exceptionally renowned representatives from India and Abroad approved  the following Resolutions unanimously:

  • That an International Conference on Religions of the World should be organized by the Government of India in 2020 in Delhi at a larger scale in line with the World Parliament of Religion convened at Chicago in 1893 wherein Swami Vivekananda gave his message of Universal Religion.
  • Certain controversial terms  like KAAFIR in some religions which instigate violence, should be removed or redescribed.

This was the first time that a WPR was organized in India. A demand was also made to the Govt of India to construct a World Parliament of Religion in NCR where in the worship Sthals of all Religions and Sects will be housed adjacent to each other and when all Dharam Gurus will give a call of Religious Harmony, there will be no communal rites in the Country.
