DPR of projects for Faridabad & Mewat under SPMRM approved

Development works Rs 205.20 crores would be carried out by 23 departments

A high powered meeting of state-level empowered committee meeting that held under the chairmanship of Haryana Chief Secretary, Keshni Anand Arora approved was a detailed project report of Rs 205.20 crores of Tigaon Cluster of Faridabad and Singar Cluster of Mewat, in the  third phase under the Shyama Prasad Mukherji Urban Mission (SPMRM).

According to the detailed project report approved for the third phase of SPMRM, development works would be carried out by 23 departments.

The Chief Secretary directed the officers concerned to expedite the work of the approved projects in all three phases under the Mission. The main aim of this Mission which is being run by the Central Government is to provide facilities like cities in villages. Haryana has been divided into ten clusters under the Mission. In the first phase, various development works to the tune of Rs 54.89 crore, have been started in six clusters which included Barara in Ambala, Samain of district Fatehabad, Uchana Khurd of district Jind, Ballah of district Karnal, Kosli of district Rewari.

Similarly, in the second phase, Ganeshpur of district Panchkula and Siva of district Panipat have been included, where development works to the tune of Rs. 53.88 crore are also being carried out.  In this link, a detailed project report of Rs 205.20 crore has been approved for Singar Cluster of Mewat and Tigaon of Faridabad in the third phase. In the next three years, the development of these clusters would boost economic activities, infrastructure, skill development and regional industries.

Those present in the meeting included Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management, Navraj Sandhu, Additional Chief Secretary, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Dr. Sunil Kumar Gulati, Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Sanjeev Kaushal, Additional Chief Secretary, Public Works (Building and Roads), Alok Nigam, Additional Chief Secretary, Environment and Climate Change, Dheera Khandelwal, Additional Chief Secretary, Industries and Commerce, Devender Singh, Additional Chief Secretary, Finance, T.V.S.N Prasad, Principal Secretary, School Education Department, Mahavir Singh, Principal Secretary, Development and Panchayats, Sudhir Rajpal, Principal Secretary, Urban Local Bodies, Anand Mohan Sharan and other senior officials.
