Delhi Police issues 4-5,000 challans on an average daily, for traffic violations

Delhi Police has since September 1 to September 5 issued challans in different categories for violation of MV Act. According to a press statement average challans are  between 4,000 to 5,000 per day out of which:

challans for drunken driving are 254

challans for driving without seat belt are 1,229

challans for riding without helmet are 4,097

challans for dangerous driving are 1,527;

challans for red signal violation total 2,698.
