Need for a public friendly police, says UP CM


Speaking on policing, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath said yesterday that the police needs to shed its image of a colonial force and today there is a pressing need for public friendly police force. He said that the time has come for the police to revamp itself in such a manner that criminals fear it while the public respects it for being their protector. The CM also praised the efforts of the police and said that today in the state a fear-free atmosphere has been created and investors are coming to UP.

The CM also said that to modernize the police force a police academy and a forensic lab will come up in Lucknow. reporter
