A free computer and sewing training centre for girls run by Arihant Charitable Educational Trust at MB Girls Inter College was inaugurated by Mayor Asha Sharma. On the occasion, the Mayor said that such a centre was needed desperately to make young girls self-dependent. She praised the efforts of the charitable trust and said that girls require such kind of encouragement to do well in life.
Chairman of Mewar Group of Institutions, Dr Ashok Kumar Gadiya was presiding over the function. He said that it is the responsibility of the teachers to make these girls self-dependent.
Eleven students who had scored well in a quiz session were handed over certificates and awards. Two students, Muskan and Aman shared their experience about the computer centre training.
Local councilor Rajeev Sharma, General Secretary of Mewar, Ashok Kumar Singhal, NCRPC’s chief Coordinator Planner, SC Gaur, Prateesh Garg, Ankit Gaur, Sanjay Agrawal among others were hand over mementos and bouquets. The principal of MB Girls College, Dr Hemlata Rajput thanked all the guests.
