In a relief for thousands of passengers travelling to Garhwal, Uttarakhand, Haryana Government has started a bus service between Faridabad and Kotdwar of Uttarakhand. A bus was flagged off by the Haryana Transport Minister, Krishna Lal Panwar in the presence of Member of Parliament from Uttarakhand, Anil Baluni from Faridabad to Kotdwar today.
The Transport Minister said that the Haryana Roadways bus will ply from Faridabad to Kotdwar everyday and will start at 6.45 p.m. He said that this bus route is 294-km-long. He said that the Transport Department has also applied for permit to start the bus service between Faridabad and Ramnagar. He expressed hope that soon the bus service of Haryana Roadways will also be started for Ramnagar.
Referring to the steps taken by the State Transport, Krishan Lal Panwar said that the State Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister, Manohar Lal, has given 50 per cent exemption in fare to the senior citizens(women above 60 years, men above 65 years ) in the state transport buses.
District President, Gopal Sharma was also present on this occasion.
