Former soldiers’ association asks UP CM to declare Kargil Shahid Smarak as a skill centre

The memorial at Muzzfarnagar is the venue for skill training of the youth who are taught various disciplines

Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha, an organization working for former soldiers had demanded from chief minister Yogi Adityanath that Kargil Shahid Smarak memorial be given the status of a skill development centre. This demand was made while the CM was visiting the Smarak situated at Shukra Tal at Muzzafarnagar in West UP where he paid floral tributes to martyrs.

Col Tejandra Pal Tyagi (retd), Vir Chakra and President of the Sanstha apprised the CM that various skill development courses were being conducted by the Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha such as disaster management, pollution control, drill among others. The Sanstha has been working towards providing skill training to several youths.  The Sanstha members also urged the CM to sanction a guest house near the training venue.
