Municipal Commissioner, Dinesh Chandra Singh today after a hiatus resumed his tour of the city wherein he visited Mohan Nagar Zone to check upon cleanliness and other tasks initiated by Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam (GNN). Firstly, he visited the Nandi Park and Gaushala run by the GNN and directed officials to see that no waterlogging takes place here and to take remedial measures towards the same. He directed the Chief Engineer to ensure that water from roads does not enter the area. He also directed that afforestation drive be carried out in Gaushala and also asked the officials to get all necessary equipment kept here.
He also inspected construction of Ranney Wells under Amrut Plan. Construction of 2 such wells was in progress while for the third one Dinesh Chandra Singh asked the officials of GNN and the Jal Nigam to search for allocation near City Forest and to coordinate with the GDA for that.
The Municipal Commissioner also directed the SFI to clean up the roadside near Haj House along GT Road and warned him. He was also asked to submit an explanation in a time of 2 days for not cleaning up the litter despite previous orders.
The GM Water Works was also instructed over phone to ask all engineers of the department to identify spots where water could get clogged during rainy season and to take necessary steps to prevent such an occurrence.
