Delhi: South Avenue brutal murder cracked; Woman & her lover held

A woman and her lover hatched a plot to kill the woman’s husband and executed it also, but could not escape the eagle eyes of Delhi Police cops that cracked the brutal murder that took place on June 7 at South Avenue in which a 52-yr-old man identified as Suresh Kumar was found with a slash wound on his neck. The man later died at RML Hospital. The police received a call that a person’s throat was slashed and he was lying in a pool of blood. A neighbour of the deceased told the police that 2 men has been seeing fleeing at the same time the murder took place.

The wife of the deceased along with her 3 children was out for a stroll at Teen Murti Marg on the fateful night. This raised suspicion of the police that upon investigation found that the deceased’s wife used to talk to someone on the phone for a long time and visited her family at Meerut regularly. The needle of suspicion now was fully on the woman. The police found out through informers that one Meerut resident Shivam was a close friend of the woman.

Shivam, 21 was apprehended from Burari along with his minor brother whose description matched the description of the witness.

Shivam disclosed that the deceased Suresh was 16-yr older to the  wife Anju, 34,woman and would insult her in front of her friends who would frequent his house to play Satta. The woman confided in Shivam that either she or her husband should live.

Thus the murder plot was hatched and Shivam asked his friend Aman to join him. He demanded money and it was agreed to give him Rs 7,000. The accused on the fateful night cut Suresh’s throat while he was sleeping.

Aman is absconding but will be caught soon, said the police.
