UP Governor asks CM to take appropriate action on IMT Ghaziabad land row

Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik has written a letter to CM Yogi Adityanath for taking the needed action into allegations of land grabbing by IMT Ghaziabad. The noted institute is managed by kin of CM of MP & Congress leader Kamal Nath. The allegations have been made by BJP councilor of Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam, Rajendra Tyagi who had accused the institute of grabbing more than 10,000 sq mt of land.

Earlier, a probe by Ghaziabad Development Authority had brought out that IMT had indeed violated the laws by encroaching upon the land and had asked the institute to either surrender the land or to pay for the cost according to DM circle rate.

The said parcel of land was originally allotted to Lajpat Rai Smarak Mahavidyalay Society for building a hostel, Tyagi had alleged.
