G’bad: Water supply in densely populated Sector 17, Vasundhara affected since yesterday

A GNN official claimed that the supply will be restored from tomorrow (April 18) morning

With the demand for water peaking, water supply in several sectors and colonies of Vasundhara Zone of Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam (GNN) broke down since yesterday evening (April 16), when Vasundhara Zone received no water supply, however similar conditions prevailed today morning and evening also when there was less or negligible supply. Several residents of Sector 17 in Vasundhara housing several societies said that they received just an insufficient 15-20 minutes’ supply today morning. Thus, in 24 hrs several residents of Vasundhara Zone had to go without water supply.

An official of the GNN said that water pipeline had broken down near Kanawani bridge, however feigned ignorance about the short supply in the morning. He claimed that water supply will resume to normal from tomorrow morning.

Notably, with the onset of summers residents have been facing scarcity of water supply since the last year wherein Sector 17 in Vasundhara was the worst affected.

Municipal Commissioner Dinesh Chandra Singh has been notified about the issue.
