Municipal Commissioner Dinesh Chandra took stock of hygiene and cleanliness at City Zone and Kavi Nagar Zone ahead of Shivratri celebrations. Firstly, Dinesh Chandra inspected Meerut Road T-point up to Haour Road besides inspecting Thakurdwara and Dudheshwar Nath Temple where he oversaw the cleanliness tasks. He instructed the staff to better the cleanliness work.

The Municipal Commissioner also visited the store of health & water works dept at Nehru Nagar where he saw the stock register and asked for better upkeep of the store. He also reprimanded the staff for keeping door-to-door collection vehicles at the store compound and asked the staff for an explanation.

Under Kavi Nagar Zone also he inspected the cleanliness work. Finally he instructed the staff on telephone to see that door-to-door vehicles should reach their areas on time to pik up garbage and also asked that anti-polythene drive should be intensified. He warned the staff for any laxity in work. All temples should have arrangements for green and blue bins outside the premises and water should be provided at all such temples, he instructed the staff.
