Urban Development Minister of Uttar Pradesh and Minister In-charge of Ghaziabad, Suresh Kumar Khanna said that the most marginalized people of society should get the benefits of government schemes being run by the state. He was yesterday speaking at a function at RKGIT in Ghaziabad where he also recalled the various welfare schemes run by the government such as the pension camps in January which he said were for the benefit of old women, divyangs and dependent women folk. The minister along with Mayor Asha Sharma also handed over certificates and documents of various welfare schemes to the beneficiaries. These consisted of 1,010 divyangjans, 568 old-age pensioners, 100 dependent women, 100 PM Avas Yojana and 100 ration card beneficiaries.
On the occasion MP Gen VK Singh (retd), MLAs Sunil Sharma & Nand Kishor Gurjar, DM Ritu Maheshwari, Municipal Commissioner, CP Singh, SSP Upendra Agrawal, and CDO Ramesh Ranjan were also present.
