Resident Welfare Association of Park Street- 3, Vaishali Sector 1 has written a letter to Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) Vice Chairman requesting her to slash the fees of GDA community centre/ marriage home at Sector 1 Vaishali, from Rs 60,000 to Rs 10-11,000. The RWA in its letter cites that the rent at present is way too high. In the letter the RWA president Naveen Kholia and vice president Prashant Verma had said that the community centre lacks all basic amenities and is untidy; as a result residents hiring it have to shell out Rs 20-25 k from their own pockets for cleaning it and for providing other facilities.

According to the RWA members by cutting down the fees even poor people from the area could use the community centre for their functions. A copy of the letter has also been sent to the CM.
