Faridabad’s Police Control Room had improvised upon its 100 Dial system after continuous public complaints of call not getting through. Police claims that now the system is working smoothly. This came about after the Police Commissioner Sanjay Kumar directed DCP Central Lokendra Singh to monitor such complaints and to come up with a solution.
Notably, the Dial 100 system received 11-12,000 calls a day in which only 300-400 calls were of bonafide complainants. The false complaints put a heavy burden on the system. AT that time a filtration process was used and only 200-250 bonafide calls were received by the system.
A meeting was done with Panasonic Company engineer to find out a solution after which an error in software was found and solved. Police spokesperson Sube Singh said that any complainant can also alternatively call up Police Control Room’s no. 9999150000 for police help.
