Three accused of a 7-member gang have been arrested by Sant Kabir Nagar Police for allegedly duping people on pretext of providing them soft loans. The accused had collected an initial registration amount of Rs 1,070 from as many as 600 persons and taken photocopies of various documents such as PAN, Aadhar, as well as 2 photos. The accused after pretending to be processing the loan amount had deposited the registration amount and were attempting to leave the district when they were apprehended by the police. For this, they had a firm called Paisa Lo Digital Ltd. Their main office was at Rajediha Bazar.
One accused had already decamped with a major portion of money and the cops are on the lookout for him.The accused were carrying out their nefarious activity in nearby districts also.
The arrested accused are Radheyshyam Sharma, Deepak Gaur and Abhaya Tripathi. The police recovered around Rs 38,000 cash from the accused, besides forms and documents taken from customers.
The arrests were made by a team of cops from Dharmsinhwa Police Station.
