RWA Federation Ghaziabad has exhorted its members and the public to come forward to download the Ghaziabad 311 App and register themselves on it. Federation Chairman Col Tejandra Pal Tyagi (Retd) said that Swachhata Surveskshan 2019 is to begin in the city between January 4 and January 31 in which the citizens’ participation is significant to show that hey are aware about such issues. Tyagi said that people’s participation is a must for Swachhata campaign to succeed and Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam (GNN) alone cannot do anything without the public support. He also asked the RWAs to come together to raise awareness about the Swachhata Surveskahan and to participate in it.
Col Tyagi went on to say that almost Rs 7,000 cr has been earmarked by the Centre for raising awareness about Swachhata whereas the World Bank has also contributed 25 million dollars for the same. There is also a Swachhata cess of 5% on services. Ghaziabad can benefit from all this.
