A shop at Bhajanpura in northeast Delhi was up in blazes on Saturday afternoon however before the fire could spread to neighbouring establishments it was doused on time. At least 19 fire tenders had to pressed in service, it is learnt.
The entire area was reportedly filled with smoke as the people started to run helter and skelter. The locals started pouring water to souse the flame while waiting for fire tenders to arrive. No casualties were reported.
